It's SO great to be home, but super rough to get back in the swing of things. I think I took twenty naps this week. I'm so grateful to my work for allowing me to go on such an expedition. I learned SO much and it was so great to see my family.
M. is doing amazing in his Pharmacy program and loving it. He's made great friends and has even become a frat boy. : ) I'm very proud of his hard work.
This weekend we started M.'s birthday celebration early by going paddle boarding. This was our first time paddle boarding in the ocean and boy was it fun. At first we looked like newly born giraffes trying to get our balance but within ten minutes we looked like pro's . . .kinda. We paddled through the harbor, past the docked ships, and over to Coconut Island where they were having a festival. I'm proud to say I didn't fall once . . .M. gracefully fell twice. Hehe! However, I think he was just trying to make me feel better about my paddle boarding skills. THE BEST was when I saw a baby sea turtle swimming by. It went up for air and I was freaking out at how cute it was. M. tried to turn around to see it but lost his balance and fell in. I almost fell in too . . .from laughing so hard.
Fall is the my favorite season. It's starting to get chilly, candy corn, leaves changing, and all those cute winter outfits. It's extremely strange not having a change of season. Don't take me wrong, I love the sunshine and tan but . . .it's just strange.
One of my favorite things about fall we did get to take part in this weekend was . . .General Conference. It was so wonderful to hear the inspiring words from our prophets and apostles. During the Sunday break we strolled down to the harbor and watched some people go sailing. One ship was having some problems (as you can see in the photos). The instructor had to swim all the way out there to help them out and then there was almost a collision with a Hawaiian canoe fleet. Quite a show.
