I would like to introduce to you the newest member of our family . . . the Love Bug!!!!
I am so grateful that we were able to get such a great car here on the islands. Kudos to M. to finding this baby. We've found that used vehicles are a lot more expensive here. A car you would typically pay $3,000 in Utah for is anywhere from $5,000-$7,000. Whew! Also, when you do get that car . . .there can be any number of problems.
We had it all cleaned and spruced up and now it looks like a million bucks. We took a gamble getting a used car here but thankfully it's been a pleasure thus far. My favorite part . . .the air conditioning.
We love our Love Bug.

A bit of not so fun news is the lovely storms headed our way - Hurricane Iselle and Tropical Storm Julio.

As you can see everyone is stocking up and hunkering down for this epic event. We had a lovely Family Home Evening last night making sure we were well prepared if the storms don't ease up. We are grateful that the missionaries are joining us Thursday night for dinner (that's when the storm is supposed to hit). We know that all will be well.

On a lighter note we saw some friendly sea turtles on our way home during my lunch hour. About four of them were just chilling in the canal north of our apartment. i personally think it was the Ninja Turtles taking a break from their movie premier. : )
Sadly, it looks like one of them had an unfriendly encounter with a shark (or something similar) as it was missing an arm. However, he got around just fine. It was amazing and inspiring. We called him "Righty" in honor of M.'s nickname given to him by his Dad.
We're grateful to be here in this beautiful place. Even though this week promises to be eventful in a somewhat scary way we know we'll be watched over and all will be well.
We miss you Utah . . .but we've Gone Surfing.
