*Sorry parents . . .this isn't an announcement. Just an omen for (hopefully) our future! : ) M. and I visited a darling little shop known as Hilo Hattie. http://www.hilohattie.com/ One place you can't miss when visiting the precious town of Hilo. We both selected our first traditional Hawaii wear (don't worry, pictures will follow shortly) and succumbed to temptation from Maui Diver's Jewelry. You first select your own oyster shell; the uglier the shell, the better. Next you complete a traditional Hawaii welcoming ceremony complete with a bell chime and chant of "A-L-O-H-A". The shell is then opened up by a sharp knife and your prize is reveled. I was lucky enough to receive TWINS (two beautifully weighted white pearls). M. was kind enough to have them set in cute turtle earrings; I'm a lucky girl. Then came M.'s turn. We, along with the lady assisting us, were completely amazed to find twins AGAIN in the form of two beautiful dark blue pearls.
Apparently this is an omen . . .we will someday have twins. I'm okay with this. : )
We miss you Utah . . .but we've Gone Surfing!
